MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Attention Hornets fans.
Season tickets and reserve seats for Alabama State University football are now available for purchase.
The football season, the first in the new ASU Stadium, kicks of Saturday, Aug.31 when ASU plays the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, ASU released.
?This is both an exciting and historic season for ASU,? Acting Athletic Director Melvin Hines said in a ASA release. ?Not only do we have a great schedule of football for our fans, we also will be playing our six home games for the first time in the New ASU Stadium.?
Hines said that the Hornet's home-field games will feature a myriad of events that target the entire family.
Family fun packs are now available and they include tickets for seating in section 129 of the stadium, hot dogs, drinks and popcorn for four people at a special price of $100.
?We wanted to make the games a family experience,? Hines said. ?We got such an enthusiastic response to the Kidz Fun Zone that was part of the Black and Gold Game that we decided to bring it back. We also will have special family packages so that everyone can come out and have a good time on game days.?
The packs will also include a surprise that will be different for each game.
Each home game will feature tailgating, the Vendor Village and other exciting activities.
?Now that football has come home to ASU, we are able to enhance the game-day experience for our fans,? Hines said. ?The University is ready to welcome everyone to campus and to ?Our House? this season.?
