The Milford Fencing Club held its 3rd annual Fall Classic Fencing Tournament on Monday night at the Orchard Hills School, during which local fencers from ages 10 to18 competed in full electronically-scored bouts in two divisions.
First place in the Junior Division went to Zach Bilcheck, followed by runners-up Sebastian Morelli and Calvin Foreman.
In the Senior Men?s Foil Division, first place went to Andrew Hiza, after a close and spirited bout with Matt Jason.
Placing third in that division was Nathan Domogala.
Open registration for the winter 10-week session starts on Monday, Jan. 7 at 7:15 p.m in the Orchard Hills School gymnasium. Beginners are welcome, and the cost is $150, which includes all gear and expert instruction.
Fencing is an elite Olympic-level sport most commonly found at private schools and universities, so the Milford Fencing Club is proud to offer local classes accessible to all ages 10 to adults, with instruction in both foil and epee.
