My Review/Thoughts:
I have enjoyed reading Tricia's previous books about the Amish. ? This one stands out to me because of how it deals with some very deep emotions about loss and grief. ?The memory jar represents deep emotions that Sarah hangs onto and hasn't healed yet. ?It is the journey of healing and finding her way that make Sarah such a strong character that readers can relate to. ?We all carry our hurt and our guilt and keep it close to us, often closing ourselves off from the life that God would want us to have. ? Tricia has a gift of crafting stories that deal with heart issues in a unique and captivating way.
I liked how the relationship between Sarah and Jathan started as a friendship and grew into something more. ?I also ?learned more about how the Amish view certain things that I hadn't known before. ?This a very moving story and I look forward to reading the next book in the series!
